Service Description

This initiative, led in partnership with Dr. Joseph Akpan, aims to deliver impactful, hands-on production agriculture training and leadership business training across Africa by collaborating with U.S. and African universities. The focus is on building sustainable agricultural capacity through applied education in key areas such as: Dairy and poultry production Irrigation systems Agronomy and soil management Mechanization and equipment use Animal husbandry and nutrition Food processing and safety Agribusiness and entrepreneurship IT Training Culinary Arts Cybersecurity Manufacturing Solar Energy Business Management Entrepreneurship By combining the technical expertise of U.S. institutions with the local insight and networks of African universities, this program will train thousands of youth, farmers, and business professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to improve food security, increase productivity, and drive rural economic development. This collaborative effort between Dr. Akpan and Dr. Scott Mickelsen is committed to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders and building bridges for long-term international cooperation.
