dr. scott mickelsen
Scott Reed Mickelsen, PhD has over 30 years of experience as a leader and educator in higher education, and he is passionate about empowering organizations with strategic planning, professional development, human resource management, action plans, communications, public speaking, and executive advising. These are the services that we provide through our company, New Heights Consulting, LLC to educational institutions, agricultural entities and other clients who seek to enrich others and better serve their communities.

Previously, Scott has been a president, vice president of academic affairs, Educational Dean, professor at various universities, colleges, and high schools. He has developed and implemented innovative and sustainable programs, curricula, and partnerships that attracted and retained students and faculty. Furthermore, he also managed accreditation, budgeting, and networking with area businesses. Scott believes in making decisions with all in mind and creating a culture of caring and excellence. My goal is to help organizations achieve their vision and mission with integrity and collaboration.

mitzi Mickelsen, msn, rn
Mitzi Mickelsen, MSN, RN has been a registered nurse for 36 years with experience in many aspects and areas of acute care and holistic nursing. She has been a nurse educator for 19 years, teaching in university, adjunct, dual credit, online, and hybrid settings. She has developed curriculum for high school and college level programs, including research for NCLEX prep evaluation that increased their pass rate to 99%. She has presented at professional meetings, developed programs for international companies, and helped improve retention by developing a team of experts. She was the founder of a professional and personal development program across the undergraduate and graduate nursing program at an online university.

Additionally, Mitzi has had tremendous experience and exposure in training companies and International organizations in helping them explore, verbalize, and finalize their mission, vision, and core value statements. This expertise has helped them gain new heights and realizations within their companies.
In conclusion, among Mitzi's students and trainees, a common theme has been that they couldn't have been successful without her.
mauri stosich
Mauri Stosich brings with her a passion for excellence to New Heights Consulting, LLC. The expertise she has brought to the company in the past year has been providing clarity in setting itineraries, proofing national and international documents, and her application of strategic and critical thinking as we embark on expanding the business.
Mauri brings with her experience in agriculture and the healthcare profession. A desire of hers is providing wholistic care for the patients, their families, and the staff she works with while making sure their needs are heard and met. Patients have been heard to say, "they were so glad when Mauri was the one who came to help them."
Lastly, we appreciate that she brings a positive attitude and a caring regard to those we engage with.

dr. joseph akpan
Dr. Joseph Akpan has a PhD from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in Political Science, with expertise in International Political Economy, and a Minor in Economics. He taught MBA courses in International Business (Foreign Direct Investment, Theory and Practice of International Trade, Regional Economic Integration), as well as undergraduate courses in African Politics, African History and Culture, political Science, Black Studies etc. at institutions including the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and Omaha campuses, Offutt Air Force Base and Bellevue University. Dr. Akpan currently teaches in Political Science and Black Studies departments at UNO.
Between 2009 and 2011, he was appointed a Resident Scholar and a consultant for the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, a Nigerian think tank. He suspended this appointment due to terrorism in that part of Nigeria.
He collaborates with UNL’s College of Agriculture and Food Processing Center to improve Nigeria’s food production, Processing, and packaging industry. From 1992 to 1998, Dr Akpan worked as a consultant for Pier 1 Imports in Fort Worth, Texas (Pier 1 Headquarters) USA to import huge volumes of African arts and crafts from Zimbabwe and Nigeria to the USA and Canada. In 2005, he successfully coordinated a major ongoing international investment project to bring foreign investors Io improve Nigeria’s telecommunication and Agricultural setors. Dr. Akpan loves soccer and plays tennis.
Spalding Jugganaikloo
Originally from Mauritius, Jugganaikloo is an executive leader with 25 years of experience in US higher education. He worked at 6 institutions of higher education in the US with three of them at the executive levels sitting on the University president’s cabinet.
In Mauritius he founded The American Campus which has been operational for seven years serving both local and international students.
He is an innovative and creative thinker in the use of technology to increase efficiency and enhance teaching and learning.
He is a visionary and strategic planner with a rich cultural background and a broad educational foundation. Jugganaikloo has a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from BYU-Hawaii, a master’s in Business Administration from Arizona State University, and a master’s in Educational Technology from Idaho State University.
He is currently completing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Idaho State University.
Nadiel Pacheco Kowalski
Nadiel Pacheco Kowalski, graduated in Portuguese and English at Ponta Grossa State University, post-graduation in Agribusiness at FAE/CDE, Extension Course in Economy and Administration for Food Chain System Agents, by FEAL/ESALQ and Christian Leadership specialization in the EUA (Hawaii) and Singapore. Has been a self-employed consultant in communication, events organization, institutional and commercial relations, cooperativism and training programs since April 2006 as the Director of NPK Consulting. Has organized about 460 technical groups (inbound and outbound) escorting nearly eleven thousand delegates mainly in Brazil but also in the USA, Canada, Argentina, Chile and Europe in the last 22 years, as Tour Manager and Translator (English/Portuguese). Has large experience organizing events, ministering training programs and lectures (not only in Brazil but also USA and Canada) and being the master of ceremonies for events, openings and graduation ceremonies. Also as a home office worker, translating technical content related to agriculture and livestock, such as manuals, pamphlets, reports and video scripts. Translation of books by various authors for Christian bookstores and publishers.
Main hobbies include travelling and choir singing. Has been living in Castro, Paraná State for the last 40 years. Has been married to Eliane for 49 years. The couple has two children, Vinícius (agronomist, 46) and Ana Lúcia (Administrator, 40) and two grandchildren (Felipe, 20 and Benjamim 10).
ike igboji
At New Heights Consulting, LLC, we are proud to welcome Ike Igboji, a seasoned Nigerian businessman and retired Canadian public servant with over twenty years of management experience in construction, capital financing, and sales. Ike holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction/Management from the University of Nebraska College of Engineering. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of MIKVIC Worldwide and resides in Enugu, Nigeria’s capital city.
Ike’s deep understanding of the Nigerian market, paired with his established relationships with key political leaders, top agricultural producers, and major agriculture businesses, makes him an invaluable asset to our team. His extensive experience in construction and capital financing allows him to navigate complex projects efficiently, while his ability to build and sustain relationships opens doors to new opportunities and partnerships.
Ike’s strengths lie in his vast network, his strategic approach to business development, and his expertise in managing high-stakes projects. With Ike’s support, New Heights Consulting can better connect with influential stakeholders in Nigeria, foster meaningful partnerships, and drive the success of our agricultural initiatives.
His insight into local regulations and market dynamics will also enable us to tailor our approach for maximum impact, ensuring that we meet the specific needs of the Nigerian market while helping us achieve our goals on the ground.
Rose b. upke
With over 20 years of diverse nursing experience, Rose B. Ukpe, R.N. is a highly skilled and compassionate nurse committed to providing exceptional care across various medical specialties. Holding an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Ms. Ukpe has demonstrated a robust history of delivering high-quality patient care in settings such as medical/surgical, psychiatric/behavioral health, women's health, labor and delivery, rehabilitation, and pediatrics in the United States and abroad.

Throughout her career, Ms. Ukpe has excelled in direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, intravenous therapy, and patient assessments. She is well-versed in managing complex cases, including those involving ventilator-dependent patients, tracheostomies, central lines, and wound vacs.

Rose B. Ukpe has consistently supported the development and supervision of care plans for LVNs and CNAs and provided valuable education through in-service training. With a solid track record of building strong collaborations with physicians, families, and coworkers, she plays a vital role in improving patient outcomes and contributing to overall community health.

In addition to direct patient care, Ms. Ukpe has held leadership roles such as Director of Nurses, ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare services and compliance with state and federal regulations. She is passionate about enhancing patient care delivery and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Grand Canyon University to further expand her clinical expertise and advance in the nursing field.
